Amsterdam

Amsterdam, the capital city of the Netherlands, has 800,000 inhabitants and is the largest city in the country. Amsterdam is famous for its canals, bridges and bicycles but also for the Rijksmuseum and the paintings of Rembrandt, Dam Square with the Royal Palace and the Nine Little Streets for shopping. Amsterdam buzzes day and night and is the ideal destination for a city trip!

Highlights

Amsterdam has so much to offer that one day is not enough to enjoy the city to the full. Sniff up culture in ‘the big three’: the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum for Modern Art. Be sure to include a boat trip on the Amsterdam canals to see the city from a different perspective. A visit to the Anne Frank Museum should be high on you what-to-do list. A stroll through the Red Light District is an absolute must-do. Relax in the Vondelpark and go clubbing in the Jordaan or Pijp neighbourhoods. Amsterdam is also the place to be for shopaholics; from vintage fashion to antiques and from tulip bulbs to sexy underwear.
