The city of Venice
Venice is like a fairytale come true and one of the most romantic cities in Italy. Hundreds of bridges, gondolas, barges, boats, colourful houses and narrow alleys make you believe to be in an unreal world. Venice is unique and has been on the UNESCO World heritage list since 1987.
Venice has so many highlights that it is almost impossible to know what to see first. Bridges, gondolas and canals are intrinsically connected with the city. Must-see highlights are: San Marco Square and San Marco Basilica, Bridge of Sighs, the Guggenheim Museum and the islands of Murano and Burano.
